We have a gas fireplace in our living room. Always worked fine for the 8 years we've been here. Today I turn it on, and after a few minutes, the fireplace went out, all by itself. The pilot light was still burning, so gas was still getting to the unit. I turned the switch off, then back on, it comes back on, and then goes out all by itself after another minute or so. During all this, the pilot light always stays lit.
It is direct vent, and has a glass cover. Any idea on what could be causing the issue?

Please help.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
