I can't see color from categories

Hello,

my name is Kamil. I can't speak good English, but I hope, You can me understand
I have installed iZeit on my Server. Now I have created one category an changed his color to #ff0000. I can't see anywhere this change. I hoped, after this change, the days on "Year" where one event from this category is, will have this color.
Second problem. By new event you can change the icon. I can change to all what I want, but finally is everywhere this green check.

EDIT:
By Category Panel I have: Colours for categories are currently disabled. To change this, go to the Control Panel.
But in Control Panel by 'Category colour: Use the colour of the item's category' is this option on: Category colour: Use the colour of the item's category

Category colours appeared to have been broken at some point since 3.2.0, they're fixed in 3.4.0. You may have misunderstood exactly what they do though. If you set a colour for a category, only events and tasks in that category will be coloured. Days containing events will not be coloured, since there could be multiple events on one day (only one category could be used for the day number). When you switch to category colours, events in day/week/month view will change to that colour instead of the theme default.

As for the icons, they appear to be working fine in the version I'm using. Wait for 3.4.0, then see if the problem still happens.

thank You for Your answer. When could we the 3.4.0 version expect?
For me it is important, that the days are colored, too. When I see as a whole Year, I'd gladly see alike what from X category in this day happens, without go with the mouse to this day. Could You do this? Perhaps scores, etc?

No, it wouldn't work, as I explained. If there are two events from different categories on one day, which category should be used to decide the day's colour? See the problem?

But if you think about it, that's not expandable. What happens if there are ten events that day? Have 10 different coloured squares? That would break the layout.

ok, You must decide what more important is: layout or functionality. I think so many events will be not every day and you can do, that when more than e.g. four events that day, in place of squares we will become a message with info, that there are so many events.

First off, congrats on your work. It's very well written.

I'm enjoying the calendar very much but I am experiencing the issue described in this post. You mentioned in one of your replies that you are aware of the issue and that the fix is available in Version 3.4.0. I believe the version I'm using is 3.5.2 and the issue is still presenting itself.

Is there a fix for this yet? If not, please email me if you'd be interested in a fixing the issue for my install. I'm not opposed to donating for the work $$.
