Windows Smartphone compatability? (and add a button)

Postby theamazingaustin on Sun Jun 28, 2009

Two things here:
First of all, I have a Windows Smartphone (moto. q9c) running win 6.1
I was very excited that your software could sync to mobile, but dissappointed when I realized it only seems to work with Pocket Pc's, not smartphones. I've never messed with windows mobile development :geek: , but if possible, it would be awesome to be able to get this running on my WinMo Smartphone!!

And I think also when adding ingredients, there should be an "add" or "insert" button or something rather than having only the option to hit the enter key. I spent a few seconds trying to figure it out, and its not a big deal and I'm sure its in the manual, but clicking a button and then being able to type the next ingredient I think would feel more natural. (with the frame of mind that a lot of great cooks may not be too oober computer-literate)
Much like when using an Instant Messaging Client, most people don't use the "send" button on screen, they just hit enter! But they keep it there because its part of the UI that people look for.
Or maybe I'm just crazy!
:thanks:

Cheers for the feedback. :)

It's not possible to run chickenPing Mobile on Smartphone edition because it doesn't support buttons or context menus, but I'll look for a way to focus the insertion row.

Talk about customer service. :)
If I may - what do you use to program the mobile version?
You're work is awesome, especially for being only 21!
Thanks,

Thanks, I love it when people find my work useful. ChickenPing Mobile is written in C# for the Compact Framework.
